All jacked up

[Old Iron]

Tranny went out of my 40 so I put it on the lift to pull it. I have a floor style tranny jack but it's a pain to use under the lift when, the car's a couple of feet off the floor especially by yourself.
I decide I wanted one to stand up under the car on the lift so this morning here it is
I used an engine stand for the base and it worked flawlessly
I use an overhead hoist I built to lift it on and off.

Yup, would scare the crap out of me. Don't you think it should have some side braces???

I thought the same thing till I used it
I am going to put a tube running to each side of the vertical that holds the engine, from the post under the jack to out close to the wheels, this will create a tripod for more stability.
