I think my truck was on the road before I found this site, but I finally tried to get my pictures organized today to put a build thread together.

Here is the way I found it in a junkyard about 20 miles from me, the day it made it home and after I got it stripped a litle bit.

Here's the 2" chop layed out, the cuts being made and the lid going back on.

The rockers, door bottoms and rear cab corners were pretty bad.
Here I've built the floor framework in the cab and have a good start on my frame and the first joining of the two.

Back apart to blast,prime and paint the frame. Bed floor from a late model Chevy cut down to fit. Trim ring around the gas filler is a strainer basket from our old kitchen sink with the bottom cut out.

Bed sides and stake pockets were made from 18 gage sheet metal. Tailgate was made from a Cushman Truckster skin and square tubing frame.
Square tube radiator support with early Mustang radiator. Grille shell is from a Jaeger industrial engine. Engine is a '68 327 chevy.

Cab and box painted flat ghost gray and reassembled. Seats are from a Lumina minivan. Next shot is waiting for the DMV inspector to look it over which explains the fenders. Last shot is the view I like the best.

Nice work! Would have liked to follow your build when it happened. Thanks for giving us the condensed version. (makes it look much easier than it probably was)
