Original NOT reproduction (cause everyone knows a beat up old wheel is worth more than a new flawess one) 1966 Shelby real wood (not fake wood) steering wheel, this was a over the counter ( not under the table) part that was available as a upgrade for the 1966 Shelby GT350,( this is the longest sentence I have ever seen) very nice add on that is popular with the Hertz Model cars.
Started out as a undamaged wheel (didn't they all?) with no cracks and sent out for a fresh professional show restoration. (That cost me 3 grand)
The center plastic face does have 1 minor flaw (That the professional retorer missed) and the wiring ( but other than those two items, it is flawless, almost) inside i am not sure if it works for the horn system ( may run the wipers, I don't know). This wheel will only make your car more valuable. (by at least 100 bucks.)
I have seen the reproductions at SAAC 34 in person and they don't even come close to the real deal.($$$$$$$$$$$$)
These 49-51 Merc accessory steering wheels come with a hecfty price tag. Anywhere from 2500 up to 4000 depending on condition. If anybody has one of these laying around, you can get big coin for it.
