I have noticed several of you guys post the same question, or build on different forums. As I read them, I see similar answers, and comments. But to me each board has a different feel to them. Do you guys see the same thing when you see similar posts?

I know I do.
I have posed pretty much the same question about my truck on three different boards and get variable info on each. But it is like you said, different board, different feel.

Yeah, I do the same thing. I always start here but some of the other boards have a different type of membership with different levels of profesional expertise.

Absolutely every forum has a different "feel" to it. It is as noticable as the nose on your face. My two favorites are RRR and Clubhotrod, I am very comfortable being myself on both of them and like the other members a lot. I am on a couple of others, and while they are not rude or anything, the other members are kind of standoffish and don't really make you feel welcome. I have never really felt accepted on those other forums.

I like forums where you get a sense of what the other guys and gals are really like, and everybody on here is willing to let their hair down and just be normal, nice people. Obviously our Moms and Dads all did a good job raising us and teaching us to be respectful of others feelings and opinions.

Never met a one of y'all, but like each and every one of you. :D:D

Correction, It wasnt my mon and dad, they had issues, it was several years of theropy and getting my *ss kicked by all the stupid things I have done.:D

For me, this is the only site that shows nothing but encouragement. Even though I am on other sites, I only give constructive advise or encouragement. I may not agree with a style or type of build, but I try to find something positive to say. If I can't, I don't post.

I always felt that you should treat people the same way that you would like you and yours to be treated.

*sniff* so sweet. LOL
I enjoy this site alot, y'all put up with my craziness so well. :D
No, I don't build, because Flat won't let me, but y'all have accepted me anyways. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm guilty of posting the same question on other sites. I do it for a number of reasons.

1) I get a bunch of short and to the point answers, if I put them all together I get a complete answer.
2) A lot of times I'm in a rush and want an answer yesterday.
3) Some guys or gals are guru's on the subject and I can't remember who or what site they're on.
4) There's always one person that will elaborate with a three page document with photos and links. Then I get answers to questions I didn't know to ask.
5) Over the years I've become an information-aholic. Hot rodding can quickly become a waste of time and money if you don't do the research first.

Does each site have a different feel? Sure they do. Here I get a nice warm and fuzzy feeling thanks to 4 and Herself. (Did I just say warm and fuzzy???) At KB I had to be carefull how I worded my posts. And at HAMB I had to wear mittens and an overcoat to read my replies. At the Ford Truck Enthusiasts I'm not allowed to post, (I have a Chevy in my Ford). I have to thumb through hundreds of posts looking for one like mine.
Here at RRR it more relaxing, family oriented. I might even get to talk my wife back into rodding with this site.

You nailed it with the 1-5. I relate to each one of those.

A classic example of why I like this board. Dirty 58 asks us for more pictures of certain car. I just checked another site where the same question was asked, and it turned into a circus. The thing is I agree with you guys on the reasons we like this site. Thanks.

Hey Reason 4, you keep Flat happy, and that's good enough for us. :D:D:D
