I would love to find a scrapyard with stuff like that in it. Your lucky to see 80s model stuff in the yards around here.

I have another set found and plan on buying them if the guy ever comes through. $40 plus shipping They are a lot straighter than these but have about 8 inches of the inside missing from rust, and no hardware. In my quest I got a line on a couple more panel trucks but they are 300 miles from here over by Red Lodge Montana. FWIW, I paid $350 for this pile of junk. More than it's worth but they were here. I had one guy ask me $395 for one rusty door.

I only paid $500 for the whole truck.

If you ever find a deal on doors like that again for a 48-52 please let me know!!!

In my quest and phone conversations I did get wind of 48-52 doors but don't remember where. I'd have to retrace my steps and make a dozen phone calls. Those are a lot more plentiful than the 40-47

Again, if you find some let me know! I will throw them on the pick up list for 21Willys when he gets back on the road!

Around here the stuff is like gold and they want completely unreasonable prices for stuff.

I'll keep an eye open, never know what I'll find. I don't want to beat anyone out of business but the bus is also pretty cheap on that bigger stuff. Prolly $50-$75 each to ship.
Ironically, the set I started chasing down on a lead from the guy who sold me the panel turned out to be 48-52 but were long gone.

Never shipped anything via bus. Have no idea even where to begin with that. Any info on how to go about that?

Just go to Greyhounds site and find the terminal nearest you, and figure out the one nearest to the person receiving, haul it in there and fill out the form. They do need all the receiver's info, including his phone # so they can call him when it shows up.
I just shipped running boards and fenders for a 36 Ford pickup, went to the west coast for under $100, and have a 41 olds fender to take in tomorrow.
Just those running boards would have been over $200 Fedex and that box was $49
