Have any of you been watching BJ from West Palm tonight ? Man, I know these are the "Thursday cars" but they are not bringing any money at all IMO. You could not begin to restore one of them for the money they are bringing, most in the under $ 20K price range......that is KIA money !!

I realize the weekend, high dollar cars will be bringing better money, but a guy would have to be crazy not to save his money and buy a done, running car instead of slaving for a few years to build one, and spend more in the long run.

Prices seem to be coming down and I for one am glad...things got out of control the past few years. Makes it a bit more affordable for those of us who haven't won the lottery yet!:D

At the Houston Autorama last Turkey Day prices were really down at their auction. Nice Vettes that usually sell for around $10K were going for $5K-$6K. Same across the board. It was so bad I had to leave B4 a couple of cars I was interested in came up because I knew I couldn't resist. Prices are still soft around here as well. Like Don said... it's a great time to buy a finished nice car if you have the cash but it's brutal if you need to sell! My cousin in L.A. said you can buy $50K-$75K for $25K all day long there! Problem is... most people don't have the $$$ to spend.

Even that charity Mercedes that was being sold to buy guide dogs for blind soldiers only brought $ 155K, which I thought was embarrasingly low, considering the good cause it was going for. That car had to be a $ 500K car to build. Usually, when a charity car comes up the people with big money get out their checkbooks and really donate, but not in that case. :(
