so i bought a pair of bear claw latches and the install kit...just pondering the suicide hinges now...buy or make? [S i have access to metal and a shop worth of metal working equiptment, [;) but i was hoping i can get some pics from others doing, done, or researching. i tried looking but im getting frustrated with the search button. hopefully i can get some positive feedback or better search results in the morning. please let me know, thanks. still have all 4 of the original hinges but looking to conceal and update, for a couple are flimsy. on top of that my doors and cab itself could def use a nice gap lining, for im picky. let me know guys/gals thanks.

i was looking at those. tempting indeed but still not fully sure. ill tamper with some ideas and possibly copy the same setup and see how it turns out with the scrap metal. doors will need to be coming off for body fitting and adjusting while i trim the drip rails, and finish filling the roof gap and possibly recutting the chop lines and fixing cleaner.

The ones I got from them were built well and I'll use them on another project they just wouldnt fit in my door jamb. For $30.00 bucks a piece you will have a lot of time and some material tied up in homemaid ones.LOL

i snagged a set from online with an install kit, so once thoughs come in i can start planning with them

I am planning on putting suicide doors on my 41 Dodge truck. What kind of openers and such are you going to use? I would like to keep the original handles on mine, and maybe reuse all the stock hardware. Hidden hinges are a must though in my opinion. I was looking at a couple install kits on eBay hinges and hardware for around $150. Didnt think they looked too bad...

I have built and sale suicide hinges. The ones you purchase online from all those companies in my opinion are over priced for what you get. I know what it costs me to build them and having a jig to build them in it goes really quickly. I can build a 2-door set in about 2 hours and they are ready to install. I sale mine on here and other sites for $98.00 for a 2-door set or $198.00 for a 4-door set.

You can however build them yourself!!

My advice would be to get your doors set exactly where you want them before cutting them into your project. You can look on my build thread and look at how I did mine if you like!! 1948 Chevy truck "RAZOR"

Good Luck!!!!
