Black Dog VS Viper

I was in the shop working on the 51 after work today and I hear the dog barking like crazy. He keeps it up for quite a while and I'm thinking no, not another cat! So, I go out to tell he to knock it off. That when I see him go after something in the bushes. He comes back out with this snake in his mouth and it attached to his face. I'm thinking o crap rattler. I'm gonna have to take the stupid dog to the vet. But fortunately it wasn't. It was one of the good kind a bullsnake. Kind of mad that he killed it. Big one to almost 5 foot long.

It had just eaten too!

I lived in the Austin hill country for years... rattler country (also scorpions & tarantulas). Got chased by a 5' rattler once. Don't *ever* believe they won't chase ya!!! I have never run so fast!!!

The good kind of bull snake??? Around me the only good kind is the dead kind. I don't like snakes. I just killed a big copperhead last week in a yard that I was mowing. HB

I HATE SNAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even little green ones scare me to death. Gives me the shivers just looking at your picture.

If you think rattlers are crazy, try water moccasins. Those things are truly nuts, they will come after you just for fun. We were fishing on the St Johns river one time, up a little creek, and we looked back and a moccasin was coming down a tree and was getting into the boat with us. I started the boat and tore out, last I saw he was still hanging on the tree wondering where we had gone.

A guy I knew was duck hunting on the Santee river in S.C. (I think) and one fell into the john boat with him, he panicked and shot the thing with his shotgun. Blew a big hole in the boat.

Yuck, I really hate snakes.

welp,i'm not as scard of them as i used to be .But then again i aint got bit yet either!
Still makes my skin craw though .I woudnt have to be worried of being afraid of them after i got bit,i would kill over from frieght anyhow!
Summer 's back ,i was laying under a car in the garage and rolled over to get a tool,and there was a black snake laying beside me ! scared me to death till i seen it was'nt poisness!Was scared to go diggin into stuff in the garage for a while after that.

One night a few years ago my then-Girlfriend went to the shop with me. She went to the bathroom and I heard a scream, so I went running. There was a little snake, probably a foot long, in the corner of the bathroom.

Being the brave man I am, I got a 2 x 4 and went after him. I must have looked like a little girl jumping back when he lunged at the board. Finally, I beat him to a pulp and put it outside. Went to look at it later and it was gone. Those critters are tough.

I went out and bought cans of that expanding foam and filled every hole I could find in the bathroom where pipes came in and all, but I still check out the bathroom every time I walk in there now.

Few years back we were having my son's 3rd birtday party, whole family grandparents and all. They Knew I had a "pet snake" but did'nt know what it was. Of course I heard all the comments of how disgusting they were and down bring arond blah, blah, blah. As the party was winding down I walked into the room with my 6' Boa draped around my neck and cleared the house in about 30 seconds. Ahhh the good ol' days!

Hatband! you got a big head CD? at 50+ inches it looks like a belt to me

they may be good ratters but they are better dead... It's one of the reasons I'm gratefull my old man changed his mind and took us to New Zealand to live instead of the US when I was a kid
