bmw box

Has anyone tried using the bmw box for cowl steering,I saw a thread on it before last week sometime,and that night i bought one off ebay. well i just got it and it appears that the pitman arm swings the wrong way when the wheel is turned.Did i get the wrong thing or am i looking at it the wrong way it was listed as 1972 bmw 2002 steering box.

Yes, the BMW 2002 box works well for cowl steering and I have used several. Are you sure it is the right box? Hopefully someone didn't misrepresent the item. The 2002 box look likes this...

I may have some somewhere, I will check. What is the problem you are having?

No problems yet I just wanted to get some mounting ideas,The box has an almost flat back so it shouldnt be that bad huh?
