Bob W made my day!!!!

I went to the mailbox today and there was a package addressed to me from someone in Canada.........I don't know anyone in Canada, or so I thought. Turns out it was a fantastic flying eyeball plaque that our own Bob W sent to me for the poetry contest! [cl This thing is BEAUTIFUL, and has two studs and nuts on the back, so it will get a place of honor on the dash of my latest rpu project. It is just perfect for that and I am really surprised and honored to get it;

The picture doesn't do it justice. It is sort of like heavy cast pewter or similar and the detail is really sharp. My Son Dan was there when I opened the package and tried to run off with it, but no go, this thing is going on my dash, right where I can see it every time I drive the car.

Yeah, it must be. The first name on the envelope was Ian, but I didn't recognize that name. Good thing Bob put a note inside so I knew it was from him.

Yes, It is an Unkl Ian work of art.[cl I contacted him and he agreed to send it direct to Don. So I sent Unkl Ian a few bucks and the note and off it went to Don.

Again, I want to thank Don, RRR's Poet Extraordinaire, and all the other contributors to the poetry contest. Who knew there could be such a thing as Rat Rod Poetry?

Don, it pleases me greatly that you are using the piece on your roadster.

Bob, I absolutely love it and the best part is, it is something I would have never thought to buy for myself. Those are the best kinds of gifts! I can't thank you enough for the thought.

Now that Dan's car is done I can corral him to do some welding so I can get the rpu started. In the meantime this eyeball is sitting safely on my computer table until I can drill some holes in the dash and mount it for the final time.
