body on air ride

i found this on you tube the guy has only the body of the car on air so he can raise it up and down on the frame. anyone seen this car before. very differant way to do that.

I thought about that myself. Got the idea looking at yard dog at work. Realized pretty quick, you'd still have to channel the heck out of the floor. In my build that would really be a mess.

Well it is out of the box thinking but, I personally wouldn't follow that lead.

Unless it was full of air I wonder how squirmy it would make it? I guess you could put little shocks on it.LOL Would want to look how the 18 wheelers do there cabs before I done it.

Well, he has to have springs on the axles, so the air ride for the cab wouldn't have to be any softer than the hockey puck rubber body mounts that are usually used. I think you could get them adjusted to ride real nice. But I'm thinking of a big rig cab system where they're hinged on the front and bagged in the back.
