I have a 34 chevy with power brakes from a 78 chevy half ton. The master cylinder is in a spot where I can't move it. The arm is over on the left of the collum so I have to brake with my left. I'm thinking of making an "S" shaped arm to get the pedal in the right position.

Any pro's or con's to the idea? Or for that matter any better one's?

Chris.

Just remove the pedal arm, heat it and bend it to come down on the other side of the column. Looks like it is plenty long, and you could trim off a lot of that pedal pad so it won't be so bulky.

So I take a torch and bend it. Or I can drop $300 on a new one.

I measured the arm, I think your right on the length. The pad I'll have to cut one way or the other. It looks like the very end will hit the collum.

Thanks.

Depending on how far over you put it you may have to trim the pedal or replace it with a smaller one. For strength and distance try to keep your bends to 45degrees or less.If you mess up at least you know what it came off of to get another.LOL
