can any one point me in the right direction to ID an old caddy motor? I have a byddy who has one and he wants to know what it is worth.

Pablo, any idea what year it might be? I tried doing a search but came up sort of empty so far. Do you think it is from the '50's, '60's. or '70's?

Pablo, I did find this info on the HAMB. (I DID a search, boy, the search police over there would LOVE me for that! :D:D)

Look for the engine number stamped on the block, top front right side just below the head. first two digits are model year, so if it's a 55 it will say 55xxxxxxx

thru 55 they are 331, 56-58 is 365, 59-60s 390

the number in front of the head on the top of the block, passenger side, just like a Chevy V8

Hope this helps.

OK what is it worth?

Alright, the first two numbers are 50, so that makes it a 1950 caddy motor, a 331. what is a 331 caddy worth?
