Yesterday I was in a junkyard and took pictures of every car. Today I went to a car show and took like 3 pictures. There was probably 150 cars and just the same old overdone tri5-first-gen camero-32 Ford/Lexus-350-350-350 yawn. Plus a few of those old monochromatic, looks like it fell in a lake of pinkish purple or else toothpaste. I probably didn't see 10 cars that I even stopped to peruse. Even the ratrods were boring and not even drivable cars for the most part. God it's aweful to get old and cynical. This car did at least have an interesting banger. Some copy of an Aussie F-head on a Donovan B style block. The pipes and the carbs could take a hike in the looks dept. tho.

Now I need to see the other 2 pictures you took.

Isn't it funny how we look at junk yard pictures and think of how fun the build we be instead of looking at finished cars?

I have to admit that car shows don't do a lot for me either for the most part. I do like meeting the people and talking to them, but I tend to gravitate toward semi-traditional cars, so only a percentage interest me. I too tend to walk by the polished, all painted up cookie cutter rods and look more at those with some rough edges and home fabrication. I like old customs too.

One of the reasons I am looking forward to Billetproof is because I understand there will be lots more of the kinds of rods I like.
