'Vette brake specialist!
Hey guys,
I'm curious, what's the difference between a carb that is egr compatible and one that isn't? There are no choices over 600cfm other then quadrajet that say with egr. Is it the size of the carb or does something from the egr connect to the carb? I didn't see anything running from the egr system to the carb when i glanced at it the last time i was under the hood on my vette. If i can, I'd like to go with with a 650 or 670 aftermarket carb until I can get the time to go for it with a quadrajet and my quadrajet hot-rodding guide. The carb that's on it right now is a quadrajet but it's a remanfactured holly. Everything I read tells me the remanfactured ones are not that great and I doubt this one has been tuned to the car, giving so so performance. Anyways, I'm done rambling. Shoot any recommendations on carbs my way as well if you think you know what would be best. thanks guys!
