Chevy based suicide front axle

I'm building a new chassis for my 50 Chevy (fenderless) bobber pickup .

I have a couple of Chevy strait axles sitting around and would like to use one in this build . I want the look of the suicide front end . Has anyone used this axle with a buggy type spring ?

I think Ron Pope, RPM, makes some brackets to do just that. You might want to call him.

Dons right, Ron sells a kit for I think 320$ that comes with the brackets, radius rods, spring and attachment hardware.
