I am building a chev 250/6 for my car and was wondering if anyone has done any Hot Rod stuff to them on here.
I need to know what cam to use so I can use the 3X1 barrel intake on it, I have been told they are not real easy to make'm run good with multi carbs, also what would be the best carbs to use?
Any idea's on anything here, I have never done one before but I just don't want to put a V/8 in it.
:confused::confused::confused:

Besides all of the great advice that will be coming from this site, familiarize yourself with stovebolt.com. I believe thiers also a inliners.com. Between the three, there is everything you will ever need to know, good luck.

Ya the problem with Stovebolt is they pretty much just do the older stuff.

250 6 cylinder

When I was kid in the early 1980's we used to (oval dirt track)race 6 cylinder Camaros and Mustangs and Valiants too. We were young and dumb, but I remember all the guys that were cheatin were buying parts from "Clifford"; they seemed to have a lot of go faster parts for the inline 6 cylinder motors.

I have a catalog from 2007 seems to have some good stuff. I am putting a 6 in my old rat truck. Gotta love the sound of a 6 cylinder.

Hope this helps you out.

If you want really good info for the Chev 6, heres the book to have. I bought this one recently and have read through it a couple of times. What I have found is, the author not only tells and shows, what to do and why, he also tells and shows what not to do for the street version. That info is just as important as the go fast stuff, unless you like to throw away your money. You will easy save the $25.00 bucks the book costs by not blowing it on the wrong parts etc.;)

That's the back cover with the ISBN # incase you were interested, and had to order it from somewhere. So not to worry.....if you ordered the front half, the back should be with it too!![ddev:D Lots of good info.:)

CLIFFORD PERFORMANCE...

Thats all I can tell'ya.

Three mono-jets were used on an old in-line 6 a buddy of mine had back in highschool. We set'em up for progressive linkage. in town, it just used the center carb, mash harder (a good bit harder) and the two outter carbs came in. the center opened fully and the two outters opened half way...
It did smoke a few "UNSUSPECTING" 5.0 pony's in the day.:D

If you want to watch the tach needle and the gas needle race, just hook all 3 up to open fully.[cl[cl
