What year did chevy go from a flat one peice windshield to a split windshield? I have a chevy truck cab that is a split windshield and the headlights were mounted to the side of the radiator suround not on top of the fenders. I was told it was a 39 but I get conflicting pics off the web. I will try and get some pics of it although the lights and stuff are gone now. Ideas? Thanks

I think '37's had the headlights mounted as you describe. Pics would help us nail it down, though.

'37 through '40 had headlights mounted on the side of the rad.
This is what I had thought. So what year did they go from a 1 piece windshield to a split windshield? 38 or 39? I was thinking the cab was a 38 but I could be wrong. And yes, I do have to get out to the field and snap a pic of it.

When you want to compare photos of vehicles, Google, Images, and type in yr. and make.
All the 38's I looked at had one piece, the 39's had two piece.
