Nice Truck!

That was interesting. I like it. Needs a little off the top though. Looks like a pretty good start. Most of the work is done just needs finished up. I wonder what it will go for?

i built this vw t bucket back in "76 and had a he#l of a time trying to get a rear suspension that would work. i had built it to run coil over shocks like kent fuller had on his, but i think i made my mounting points to far in on the frame because it would just go down to the ground. i then put air shocks on it and that didn't work very good either. then i thought about the corvette and said why not. the car used the stock empty vw torsion housing cut down to fit between the frame rails and welded in. i then welded a flat plate across the trans arms and used 4 bolts to attach a model a front spring. i then made brackets to attach to the axle tubes which also held the shackels. it had hair pins on it for that for and aft movement. anyway, after all this diatribe, i came to tell you it worked absolutely perfect. that one on egay may have to many leaves to ride smooth though. this was my t.

and yes, that is me playing vroom vroom about a lifetime ago.

I agree with flatheadgary. It'll work but that looks like a lot of leafs for a good ride.
Strangely enough, that many leaves isn't too bad. I thought I might end up taking some out of mine (8 leaves, he has 9) but the ride is pretty close to being ideal. I think only the last few big leaves actually do any of the springing and the top ones just keep the shape maybe.

Thats pretty cool. I've always been kinda awestruck about 1/4 eliptical and now, this kind of rear.
