Yep. Lots of neat little details on that one. I like the style of those driveshaft loops too but it still looks like a good way to get mamed.

Some very nice fabrication work on it, and it seems to be soundly built too. The seats have to be uncomfortable as h*** though. Neat to look at, but I wouldn't want to sit in them for any period of time bouncing down the road.:eek:

All in all, the car is really well done, and you can tell he spent a lot of time making all those little brackets and parts.

i love the look, the fabrication and style is gorgeous, but you will never see me ride in, or drive a car with no driveshaft tunnel. (what if you were leaning forward to change the station and your tie got caught in the driveshaft )

Show rat indeed!!!

A show rat, what a concept!

Rattler

I totally agree... that exposed driveshaft looks scary to me too, very nice work but Rattler declared it a show rat... I agree! I've seen that car in a couple of mags!

not many rats with radios or rat rod drivers wearing a tie

tripper sells real estate :D, we all know he pulls up in the daytripper with a full suit in the texas summer for that sale :D

Yeah, he probably pulls up next to somebody in a Bentley and says "Excuse me,but could I borrow your Grey Poupon ?" :D He's one of the up and coming breed of High Brow ratters.:D

I have a quite well padded butt and those seats would still be uncomfortable.:D

Hodag

Simple removable seat pads would solve most of that problem. That's what I do with my bomber seats. Aside from the exposed driveshaft, I really like the car.

Bidding closed with only 1 bid at 12,000. If in fact that was a real bid. There's a lot of time in that car. Things like those driveshaft loops and all those trick brackets and mounts really eat up the time. Although I suspect that somebody used a waterjet to make at least some of the pieces on this car, such as the steering wheel spokes.

You're right, someone got a deal. Tons of fabrication time in the car. I would just do a few things to make it mine (seat pads and driveshaft cover for starters) and drive the heck out of it. For $ 12 K you almost couldn't duplicate it.

BTW, the seller shouldn't be counting his money yet.........the buyer has a Zero rating.
