I built a fire in the hotrod today and should drive it in a couple more days. The home made intake with twin carbs seems flawless other than just a hint of black smoke when I snap the throttle. I still have one hole leaner I can go on the accelerator pumps. With the zoomie pipes, the little 260 has a lot more bark than I expected.

I'm using a pair of 2100s. The same original carb that was on the 63 Fairlane 260 and another identical to it. Nothing you can change on the squirters other than what hole the linkage is in.

Go one number lower on the power valves, should lean it out on accel.
You can change the booster venturi to change the squirt hole size.

Where do I get those parts for an Autolite 2100? Some say the Holley power valves work and some say not. These are the early style 2100s with the check ball for the accelerator pumps instead of the little red rubber valve. .98 venturis, the smallest ones I've seen and I think about 190 cfm each IIRC.

I hauled all my receipts and stuff down to the county treasurer yesterday. I had an old title I had hoped would work but the guy had signed it where my name should have been. The ladies are real helpful but the state keeps changing the rules on some of the procedures. Anyway, I hope I have a serial number before Cool Deadwood Nights.
I have to pick up my windshield this morning and also my 3G wasn't charging so it's off, getting a new regulator.
Cheapo ebay fan kept blowing fuses. I found out it takes between 50-60 amps to start, like for 1/2 a second, but enough to blow fuses. After starting it pulls about 18 amps. A 25 amp circuit breaker in place of the fuse did the trick.
Also getting some back tires mounted today, bleed the brakes and bolt the bed down. Should be ready to drive out tomorrow (sans lights)

I probably could have used the title I had if the car had a serial number anywhere on it. But I didn't just want to stamp the number on myself and later on get nailed for felonious tampering with motor vehicle numbers (knew a guy that happened to on a Harley and it took him 6 months to get his bike back). I try to do this stuff by the book now days so they are doing a rebuilt title and I get assigned a serial number, then the state inspects the car and puts the number on.

The Rally is ON!!. I had to get through Sturgis and back twice this week What would normally take 5 minutes now takes 45, but the sight seeing is awesome!! Lots of great scooters and store bought ****s!! Since most women have some sort of deep seated desire to be a floozy, they all walk around as naked as they can and there are a few they use to attract customers into booths who have nothing but pastys and a butt floss bikini bottom.
Anyway Maverick, wish it was a different season, we could have met in Rapid for lunch or something.
