Combining hobbies

I been teasing myself with going benchrest shooting with my target pistol . 223rem.
But I want to set up the bench in the back of the ambulance.
I dont know if slight movements of the ambulance will affect my shooting.
Keep in mind that this is the gun that will print groups under an inch at 300 meters.
I think it might work as long as it is a windless day.

Could you use jack stands like they do on campers? That should take the movement out of the equation.

Good thinking
This rig drives better than it did right off the assembly line.
A reliable and fun to drive vintage truck.
Next year i will throw a little more money and time at it.
but for now i am thrilled

Is it legal to shoot from a vehicle where you live? I don't think it is here.

It isn't legal to shoot from a vehicle while hunting, not sure if that applies to target practice. a day with no wind in SD is rare.

I can't imagine that you bench shooting from the back of your truck would be illegal.

in most states the statue is to prevent 'road hunting' not target shooting.

I agree, we bench shoot out of the trucks to sight them in. Never had a problem with anyone questioning what we are doin. If you shot a deer from a vehicle from the road, thatbwould be a different story.
