While I was picking up my new Model A my neighbor who manages the airport in Moriarty, NM asked me if I wanted to go by the Commemorative Air Force's hangar. It used to be called the Confederate Air Force but politically correct liberals made them change their name.

There was this 2/3 scale P-51 Mustang.

They've been at the St. Paul airport a few times. I enjoyed looking at them and watching them land and take off. I regret not taking a ride but I was too cheap at the time.

One year a pair of Mustangs staged a mock dog fight above my house (way above). That was a special treat.

Thanks for posting the pics and too bad about the name change.

The CAF had a B-29 at Kirtland AFB this last week. I didn't get a chance to go see it. Flights were $600 and up depending on the seating. Kind of pricey! I know someone that did and said that since it is a pressurized airplane you don't have the same experience as in the older bombers like a B-17.
