Ah yes, the old cherry bombs. They do have a sound all their own. I ran them on our 68 Mustang. Came right off the headers and had no tailpipes on them.

My ex is a nurse and it was our daily driver for a while and one day she was coming home from work and both mufflers caught on a bump and pulled off. Two cops were sitting in a squad car right there as she walked back and picked up the hot mufflers with her sweater and threw them in the trunk. She walked up to the cops and said "Yeah, I know, and he is going to catch h*** when I get home !" They just laughed and I DID catch h*** when she got home.

I have NO idea why that woman left me !

Great sound....never too loud for me! Had a 68 goat when I was younger...had hooker headers and I installed hooker header mufflers right to the collector......you had to stop the car and get out if you wanted to talk!

Anyone else amazed at how much we seem to be getting away with, as far as the po po goes now days??? I've benn running open headers now for a year or so with no tickets, or even warnings!!! I don't think that would be the case when I was younger!!
