Does it EVER end..? Hairpin brackets..

Ok..I sent my spring back,and will buy a dropped axle ( From Sids..) AND because I really dont want a 50 inch long/wide axle.Sooooooooooooooooo..I walk out to the garage to clean up and got real curious while I was looking at these radius rod/hair pin brackets Speedway sent me.Now I took this pic and I compared it to other builds and I REALLY dont see an angle on ANY bracket except the ones I BOUGHT..!! Tell me my eyes are REALLY going bad....Anyone elses brackets have the odd angle to them..? And yes they are on a flat surface when I took the pic.I did notice they are marked L and R.I jumped over to the Welder Series website and watched him take a hairpin non-welded kit and weld it up,thus showing you how its done,and those arent at an angle either when hes done welding them.

There is a right and a left. The axle is curved where they attach with the perch/bolt.
