I need some door handles and window cranks for my 46 IH truck. Do they have to be same year/model or will other models of that decade fit? Is there a "universal" door handle kit?

If it were just me I'd go as rat as I could, but my daughter will be riding with me. Maybe I can just weld her door shut.

Universal? vice grips work pretty well. I have seen some handles from different makes fit each other, but who knows what might fit yours. If it is splined and has a scew hole in the middle, this seems popular.

I think pretty much the question has to be...are yours splined or are they a square with a hole in them? OF all the cars I've done over the years these are the two distinct styles I've ever come across.

I would think any of the KB series trucks would work. I would also put in shoulder harness for her, those old doors/latches were pretty unsafe when they were newer, you can't really lock them and just catching a coat sleeve or bracelet may open the door unexpectedly.
