Custom built 1926 sedan, chopped top, headers cut down for 6 cylinder then 3" taken out of the tubes to fit better, 1959 David Bradley walk behind tractor hood cut down to make grill, corn grinder for rear wheels, galvanized oval tub for engine/flower bed.

It's just mocked up right now for a teaser, more to come later today

Potential bar-b-que in back, cooler in front for the cold drinks, you could be the highlight of the next big rod run.[dr put it in the back of the Dodge truck and your in business.
or your plan, planter.

I need some input, Got Rust gave me a great idea to make this into a grill.[cl
So before I go any farther I would like some opinions/ideas on the way to go if I do turn it into a grill. I have a nice 4 burner + 1 side burner grill I could put on top of this, it should fit nicely & be about the right height. I could also make an opening door on the back side for tank storage. Do you guys think it would look ok with the grill sitting on top?

I also have the steering front end out of a electric mobility chair I could use to make it a bit easier to move around, although it would be easy enough to lift the front end and cart it around.

I think you need to seriously think about how you want to use it. I built a chopper bicycle once and it's so big it's almost unusable and unstorable. My point is, if you want something to park out in a corner of your yard, that would look awesome with some plants in the "cooler" bucket. But if your seriously going to get use out of it as a grill, do it to it. Either way people are gonne dig it.

Just my opinion,
but around my house, pulled pork outsells pink posies.
maybe a side hinge top?
was a front engine dragster a few years ago in Portland Or. made into a bar-b-que, was cool, smoke came out of the exaust pipes, but it was heck to haul and store, and what was it worth?
guess it depends on who your gonna sell it too.

I would cut the roof off put a flat plate "lid" on then the roof back on and weld it to the lid. Put hinges on the lid , lift/tilt roof and open large smoker. and build your fire in what now is the Ice bucket and feed it in to the body of the smoker. thats my 2 cents

I'd have to go with smoker. But whatever will sell.

One thought, if you do another make the front cowl by taking one of those tubs, cut one end off, split lengthwise, and widen - the bottom becomes the firewall. If you see what I mean. I envy you, I love makin' stuff from junk.

Those Bradley hoods bring alot of cash around here from the guy's restoring them...

Got this one out of the scrap yard & researched it, found some on CL for free up to $150.00 I later found out someone stole this one along with more DB parts and scrapped them, the scrap yard would not do anything about it since they couldn't find the video of the guy bringing it in so they told me to keep it. So I just decided to cut it up and use it rather than try and sell it in fear of someone thinking I stole it. I've had it several months now.

Paint or no paint?

Except for going over the seams with more spot welds, cutting out the back window, the cowl and some expanded metal inside for a shelf the body is done.

I really like the look as is but will take your opinions on paint or no paint.
