I spoke with an old high school buddy (Rob) this afternoon and among other things, he told me his motor got fired and dynoed this morning.

540'' Keith Black hemi- Indy heads - "Large" Procharger driven for a target 15 lbs. on pump gas...

...Rob was hoping for 1300 HP but It made 1550. (The boost measured higher than expected at 22-24 lbs.) [ddd

Wow...what on earth is he going to put it in?

As long as I've known him, he's been... uh, excessive. [ddd

The car is being built for "fastest street car" competition - 10.5 tire - funny car cage, etcetera, etcetera...

With that kind of power I don't think he'll even be in the hunt for fastest street car. Not to rag on the car or engine or anything, but I thought most "fastest street cars" run a lot more power than that? Maybe the 10.5 tire requirement makes a difference... Does he have lots of secrets to hook up that power with a 10.5 tire?

Those aren't PJ's, that's just how those canucks dress up there ;)

We still need to have that talk. :D

I don't quite know how to respond to this, but I'll try...

This a real street legal car... not a fiber-carbon-titanium-flubber gas Pro Mod thinly disguised.

I don't know what rules he's trying to meet as there are many "outlaw" classes and "versions" of the 10.5 tire. I can tell you for sure... my friend Rob is a "scientist" and a respected chassis builder. He does his homework and if anybody can get horsepressure to the ground, he can.
