E brake cable

I stupidly cut the E brake cable when taking the rear end out of the donor, cut them near where the go into the center pull bar. Can I splice and reuse the old ones? My truck had the E brake on the tranny.

You can get a couple of cable clamps and overlap the cut about two inches and make 'em work. Those little clamps hold good. You'll just have the cable about four inches shorter which shouldn't hurt anything.

Unless you use the Ebrake a lot, (like doing bat turns and stuff) those cable clamps should hold it...

I ended up eliminating the E brake, one side was missing a part & it was hell trying to get all that crap back together in there.[S

I'll come up with some red neck form of a E brake later.
