I seen this steering collumn that has an electric motor sort of deal that gives you power steering of some sort. Anyone use one of these? They look pricey but my shoulders are getting worse by the day

We are running electric power steering in that Econoline van build I'm doing. I haven't got that actually fired up but install was pretty easy and everyone I talk to says they were good

A friend of mine did electric power steering on his 55 Chevy. He had a Chevy tilt column in it, and just cut the bottom of the column to adapt the steering setup. I can't recall, but think maybe he used Kia parts in his.

He said the result was great, but the one thing he said was that he lost a bit of road feel and that took some getting used to. He recommended swapping to electric, though.
