Electric water pump on the street

Are any of you using an electric water pump on the street? I'm thinking about it to make things easier, but wonder about reliability.

My buddy runs one on a 600 hp 406 small block. Its gets street driven and has no issues. Also another on a 4.3 in a samurai and it also has no issues

I'm using a Mezeire pump on my 621 horse big block with out issue for the last eight years.

I saw a T bucket with one and asked the owner how it worked. He said fine. Surprised me a little as I always thought of them as drag race items more than street.
