I may have posted this on KB a long time ago. Can't remember. Any way, ever polish cast iron? It can be done, with lots of work. Here is the manifold on my 64 GMC. I polished it and then powder coated it with clear powder, don't know if I had the oven too hot or it was impurities in the metal. It came out a gold color, didn't like it at first but it grew on me. I also powdered the valve covers, pulleys and mc cover.

Glad you got pix because i never would have believed it. Only a small percentage of those who see it will know what they are looking at but those who do will be amazed :)

cast is cast, even aluminum comes out pretty ruff. That' why a polished intake cost more...elbow greese is an expensive lubricant.
Great job!
