Factory spindels on dropped axle

The steering arm on my spindels hits the kick-up on my 4" dropped axle when it turns. The spindels I have are off a 40 ford. Will a aftermarket steering arm fit a factory spindels if you cut the arm off?

Heat them and bend them....look in the Speedway catalog.

You can use the bolt on dropped axle steering arms from a place like speeway or you can heat and bend them. Many times the tie rods also have clearence issues with the wish bone as well.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and cut the arms off last night and rounded them off with a bench grinder. It looks pretty good. I'll order the bolt on arms from speedway shortly.

Could have saved some $ by heating and bending. Ive done several pair. trick is to heat them right next to the king pin area and bend straight down. Then heat near the tie rod hole and make level to the ground. usually best when everything is mocked up in place or axle is on a stand set at the degree your running it.
