Anybody ever drop a Falcon? Whats the best way aside from torching the springs. Also I would like to put disk breaks up front, do Mustang parts fit?
Need help, this is my 1st Ford ever.

what year???? mustang disk yes but cant find. might find some granada spindles , but there about all bought up. there is a guy on ebay selling granada spindle kits. droping it, how low? realy need more info and maybe some picutres

Torching/cutting the stock Falcon springs is going to give you some serious negative camber and ride quality issues. Don't do it.

Fat Man makes drop spindles for the early Falcons, but you have to change your upper control arm to the later, '64-5 falcon type so you have the bigger upper ball joints. With the Fat Man spindles you also have to convert to disk brakes & 5 lug. It's really a nice way to go and will definitely take your car to the next level on both looks and reliability, but you will have to pony up some cash.

You should be able to get it low enough without dropped spindles though, with what is known as the shelby upper control arm trick, & cut 68 mustang coils on the front. You can also use a '68 mustang shock mount & make shock extensions for more suspension travel.

Here is a extensive write-up on the Shelby mod. It's pretty wordy but there is lots of good info you will need to know about your Falcon anyways. - http://www.joesfalcon.com/page12.html

Thanks guys, I want it lower than an ants balls:rolleyes:
I just went and looked at it today, another problem is its a 4 lug nut car so I have a bit more work than I planned. Oh ya, its a 62

Checked the Fatman stuff:eek: they are proud of that stuff.
