We have been working on this since Oct. 2010 Finally taking the time to post some pictures. The first few are pictures are from when we picked it up and then the others are when we really started work in Dec. I have more pictures they are just not on the computer yet. Will post as I have time.

Currently working on the engine. And yes I know its a chevy 350 and not a ford flathead but thats what I can afford. Figure you can always change engines down the road.

Seats were Fabricated by my father.

Can't wait to drive this thing.

Worked on the engine.

Bolting the engine back together. Need to attach the cables to the carb. Need to go to store and get a new distributor cap. Any suggestions on a good cap? Still need to reattach the headers. Give er a test fire this weekend probably.

The Tail lights where frenched in about 2 weeks ago. Going to french in the license plate this coming weekend as well. Then on to the body prep for paint.

Sweet looking sedan !!! You guys are doing a great job !!

You happen to have any more pics of the frame? How much did you step the

rear and still get a back seat in ? I have a 4door sedan and want to use a

back seat, trying to get ideas.

Thanks I find the hardest part is taking your time and not rushing through things just so you can drive it. Learning patience:) Would like to see your sedan when you get it posted.

I do have more pictures any views you are looking for? There is no step in the frame, its channeled 4 inches and chopped 4 inches. The sits will sit as close to the floor as we can get them. I have test fit the back seat with me in it, and I am 6'5" and I fit(about an inch of head room) and I have room to slouch down so i gain a little more head room. I wouldn't want to ride there for a long road trip but I fit. In the front seat I have about 6 inches if I remember right over the top of my head.
On our frame ran the frame rails from the front to the firewall, at the firewall we layed 2 new rails on the inside of those and ran those all they way to the rear. Overlapped the rails about 4-6 inches at the firewall.

Update

Over the weekend I was able to french the license plate in. Forgot to take a picture will have to get one posted. I am undecided on whether or not to leave the rear spare tire mount on or off. Right now I think it looks better off.
Of course while welding in the license plate box ran out of wire feed for the welder. Always takes more time than you anticipate.

Mounted the radiator back on, and the radiator hose from before is too short, after going to a short water pump to a long water pump. Back to the store.

Took a few times of turning the engine over to get it started. But it fired and idle real good for us. On monday we where going to drive it up the street and back just to say we did. Started it, idled for probably 20 mins got the engine up to temperature, set the timing and the carb, messing with a good place for the idle. Put it in drive and engine quit, went to start it and it back fired through the carb and lit the remaining fuel and air filter on fire. Poured a bunch of water on it. So blew all the water out we could with an air compressor because of course the carb was now full of water as well as the intake. Pulled the spark plugs and drain plugs finished draining the engine last night. Also got a carb rebuild kit to install in the mail yesterday. Trying to work the kinks out.

PS.. Forgot on sunday the starter cracked on us and had to get a new one.

Ditto. Rear axle definitely needs moved forward a bunch. Also, the brackets on the rear should really be mounted in double shear. That setup looks a little weak.

Thanks for the advice, I think the axle is going to have to stay at this point in the build. Would have to redo all the brake lines remake the four link, redo the drive shaft. I might try and squeak a inch or two by moving the body back. Chock it up to a learning experience. Thanks Blue

I'd love to have those seats! Cool project.

Thanks Reb, they are great and surprisingly comfortable.
