hi guys , boy I hope this don't sound stupid , but I want to build a set of traction bars for my 74 ranger xlt the rubber snubber on the front witch spring should it make contact with and what size rubber snubber should I use

Ideally, the snubber should hit the spring at the eye. I would use whatever rubber snubber I could find, but make it height adjustable so you can adjust the preload on the springs. I usually run about 1/4" to 1/2" air gap between the snubber and spring on a street car.
