Ford spindle replacement?????

My buddy trashed a front wheel bearing on his rat rod. We haven't been able to get the rotor off yet (gonna take a torch to it tomorrow), but if he needs to replace the spindle too who sells just single replacement spindles (1928-1948 early Ford spindle)? All I can find are sets.

Also, are there any other good suggestions to getting the rotor off without using a torch?

Fab up a slide hammer--bolt it to the lugs.

Speedway should have the spindle.

I checked their website but can only find a pair with kingpins. I'll have to call them tomorrow after 5pm.

My father-in-law has a slide hammer so I guess we'll try that first. He said it's meant for rear axles but we'll see.

If the spindle is damaged, don't thro it away. They can be repaired. Also you can runa a "Wanted" ad on ebay to find a single spindle! I used to have one, I'll look around tomorrow.

Thanks Fuzz. I won't know if we need one for sure until we get the rotor off, but I'm looking just in case. There is a car show here next weekend he was trying to go to. If Speedway sells a single spindle (if we need one), or if you have one, I'll have to 2-day it or over night it.

I looked thru my storage shed and can't find that spindle. May have given it away earlier, just don't remember what I did with it. Hope you can save the one you have and don't need another one.

Well the spindle is okay and it's only the outer bearing cone and seal. Hopefully I don't have to order the bearings.
