Looks pretty awesome but I must say something about the back does not strike me as good..... I think it's the taillights. Maybe if they were more a full light? I am not sure. Something about it just strikes me as looking at Barney's nose.
I agree with Neverdone, they missed the mark with the early 60's style bulls eye tail lights. If they were closer to the shape of the opening they are in, it would fit the grand scheme of things. After all....if I were ever to race against it, the back end is all I would ever get to see. And I want to look at something I like!!
It's a cool car and I suppose the wind tunnel dictated more of it's styling than actual style. Other than the front on view, the rest of it is just too "busy", especially the back.
Every once in a while the car designers get it right. And usually it is the original design. The original GT 40 is an example of that as is the original Jaguar XKE and so many others. Then they come along and try to "Update"it and this is the results. It's like a 1950 Mercury that has been over customized. It just doesn't seem right.
Even If I had the money to buy one of these I could think of 10 or 20 cars that I would rather have.
JMHO as always.
Torchie.
Even if I can find fault with it's looks, I could rock that bad boy!! You'd probably have to pry me out though. I think they would have been better of to name it something else so the GT40 purists don't get their undies in a wad.
