...even has the tire carrier - classy!

Wait a couple days and try a different approach..........'Honey, look at this. I'd love to build you a hot rod out this' :D
However you may have already blown your cover and she'll see right through it :eek:

Cool find!

Ah yes, I remember only too well those days of having to sneak a new project home. But I always liked the saying "It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission." [cl

Nashes in that conditon are hard to come by........come on, you know you REALLY want it! What's the worst that can happen? (Don't you just love it when your single buddies try to get you in trouble?:D

Don

Oh, years ago I had a very similar Nash, but a station wagon, with an Olds 371 with two fours on it in it. It was quite the sleeper and I hurt my buddies feelings when he bought a new Plymouth convertible with 383 four speed and I blew it away.[cl

Buy it nd tell her you plan on selling one of the others. after a few weeks she will forget about it.

That how I always did it, and now I get to see her at car cruises and shows walking around with her boyfriend.

It's really me that knows I shouldn't buy it. I could get away with it from the wife easy enough, and I could store it at my Dads. Even the money isn't an issue.

BUT.... I know deep down that if I start collecting vehicles I'll end up being that old guy with cars rotting away that says "Not for sale, I'm gonna fix it up someday."

When I get 'done' with my current projects I'm sure I'll be able to find another easy enough. I sure would like that Nash though.... sigh.....

[cl Yeah, problem solved.........so I assume you'll be picking it up on Monday:D

You're looking at it all wrong, instead you'll be that old man with all the cars that knows exactly how much he has in each one and knows how to recognize a serious buyer and make a few hundred on the deal. [ddd:D

It'd be easy to find if it was at your Dad's place

Better get it [P[P[P

Ah CL! So many deals. I'm eating my heart out for a '41 Cadillac short limo
that still has the old faded lettering on the side that says Harold Sharp orchestra.$2500

Wife says; why do you need another car?
We say; I think I have a buyer and can make a couple hundred!
Few weeks later, Wife says; why is that piece of crap still here I thought you had a buyer?
We say; Yea me too but he couldn't get the money and I'm sure another buyer will come soon!!!!!!!!! Honey:rolleyes:

well i for 2 (see above post) thinks you might just wait til all the other projects are closer to done...and a "prettier one:eek:" comes along...;)

but i will say if you drag it home i'll be sitting in front of my computer cheering on the build and waiting for the next update....[P:cool::cool:

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that ask their wife or girlfriend if they can buy something. I have always just bought whatever I wanted. I NEVER ask first. It's always look what I just bought. It is ALWAYS easier to beg forgiveness than to beg to buy....trust me on this one.:D

I had to talk myself out of that 47 pontiac a while back for $2500.. but its gone now.. so I dont have to worry about that anymore..

I told myself there are always more to be had... then like a week later I talked to a guy I know and he scooped up a 40 ford for $1500 it was restored in the late 70's... He basically stole that one... The guy he bought it from couldnt believe people wanted it:eek:

Eman.. you need that CAD
