I know the s-10 frame is common. I was wondering if this would be best to use with my 37 Ford 1/2 ton, and if so what year s-10. I saw someone using a 91 s-10 frame on here. Also I want to consider easiest way to lower this truck. So should I go with an s-10 frame or fab a 2x3 rctangular tube frame z'd in the rear and front?

takes some measurements so you can see what would be best. as long as you don't want to go fenderless the s-10 should work fine, most people don't like the way the newer suspension looks exposed. there were several different sizes of frame depending on the particular truck so you may have to research it a bit.

framed

Mine is a regular cab short wheel base
Had A 4.3 V6 and auto trans
So a small block chevy and a auto trans will bolt up with out you having to make mounts
Complete rolling frame

Kelseydum,

Go to my website and read about the S-10 frame before you make your plans. I have all the measurements of the S-10 frame, and how to go about preparing it. Keep in mind that the S-10 is a front steer, (has the steering box in front of the axles). there's info there on how to lower it. Keep in mind that the S-10 frame is already 10"-12" from the ground. The 37 will have it's running board about 6" below the frame. You may not need to lower it. Look at my 52 Ford. The front splash pan is 4" from the ground and I didn't touch the suspension.
