I am getting ready to order the steel for my frame on Project REO.
What gauge or thickness should the tubing be? The frame will be 2x4 for the most part...I was thinking 3/16 or is that too thick (heavy)?

Nope, perfect IMO. 1/8 is ok but 3/16 gives some extra thickness for drilling and tapping threads for stuff like fuel lines, cables, and other non structural items. 1/4 is way overkill and the frame would weigh a ton. We use 3/16 exclusively, both in 2 x 4 and 2 x 3. It also has a nicer profile than 1/8 wall, corners are more rounded.
