Front cross tube

I'm wanting to mount a suicide front end on my car. The front frame horns will only allow for a 2" dia. tube. Do you think 2" dia. D.O.M. heavy wall would be adequate for a front spring mount? Will try to keep the car below 2500 lbs.

YES we build drop tube axles from 2" DOM with a 1/4" wall. It would be plenty strong enough.

Thanks rpm, I actually have a drop tube axle on it, so it might look alright being the same size.
