This was an article in the new Street Rodder about how a guy reworked a reworked dash from an old Ford. I thought of Gastrick & some of the awesome work he did on his coupe when I saw it!!!
You guys have no idea. I got to see his interior at Daytona and it really is something. He must have drilled like 1,000 holes (all straight and in line) and rivited each one. I got tired just looking at all the work he put in there.
Ha Ha, My dad picked up that issue of Street Rodder and saw that. He called me and said "You are not going to believe this". He was right. I couldn't believe it when I saw it as we had already discussed doing something like this but knew we didn't have time before Daytona. I might consider doing something like that but I just put a new dash in the car. Maybe I'll play with the old one and see what it looks like. I'd probably add a little bit of bead rolling here and there.
Thanks Don. Still not done with it. More holes to drill in the kick panels and a few other details I still want to incorporate before Billetproof.
24Dodge. You are right on the money man. I am diggin that roadster. I just snagged a couple of the pics off of the ebay listing for my photo collection.
A beautiful deuce but he calls it an untouched barn find then starts naming off aftermarket rails, Pete and Jakes, Brookville??? He must have found some parts catalogs in the barn with it.
The ebay description states that only the BODY was found in a barn and has not been repainted, only buffed with compound to return the shine. The body must not have included the hoo, sides, and grill. I'm not sure if I believe the story.
