Kids drinking hand sanatizer???? Im scared to death to grow old and have to rely on our younger generation to run things. RR

I heard that on the news last night, and they said a bunch of kids have had to go to the emergency ward after drinking it. Already you can't buy spray paint without being over 21, pretty soon they will start the same stuff with sanitizer. Are these kids that hellbent on killing themselves ? What has happened to human beings ?

Just saw it on the news tonight. What the f--- is wrong with people?? Is there is no limit to stupidity??
I guess I must have been living under a rock growing up, never would have dreamed of trying something so idiotic.

There were 3 or 4 teens who died in the town next to us a few years ago. Their parents came home and found they had been sniffing spray paint. What makes anyone, even an immature teen, think that paint fumes are ok to take into your body ? I was a DUMB kid, but never THAT dumb.

I breathe enough paint fumes without doing it on purpose.

My mother used to work at a paint retailer. The "sniffers" would always buy spray can "Antique Gold" without fail. I guess it has/had the most lacquer content or whatever they get out of it. I can't imagine what their lungs looked like. Liberace's palace, I suppose.

This crap went on before but, has escalated exponentially since the arrival of YouTube and the movie *******.
YouTube in it's self is great it's the users that do stupid stuff that gets others to do the same stupid stuff that ruins it

What is this world coming to? Pray for the teens and upcoming kids. Parents need to be more responsible in some cases, but you cant watch them 24-7. just my $.02

Ah come on uys.......it'll all be o.k. We'll have social security from them as they pay in like we did--oh, no thats going for broke too. Ah yeah, we'll have the governm-oh...thats going broke too. Well hey dont forget about our 401k that went into stocks over the last several decades(oh yeah....i'm still recovering from the market crash too, hey maybe it will be where it was at before the crash when i'm 110yrs old.

Stuff like that is nothing new. My wife's late cousin, died of a heart condition a few years back, inhaled Freon back in the 60's. He smoked a lot of dope, too.

I worked in a grocery store back in the late 70's. We had old guys come in and buy cooking sheery and Aqua Velva aftershave lotion to drink when they couldn't get to the county line for real booze. We are in a "dry" county, no booze sold, next county west is "wet", sell all you can buy. The county seat just went wet last year, but the rest of our county is still dry.

There will always be somebody willing to do something stupid to get high. And there will always be some that don't live to tell about it. Like somebody else said, thinning the herd....

Several years ago I worked with a kid that was fresh from alcohol rehab. He told me that he and his group of friends would buy grain alcohol and inject it into their veins. He said you pass out immediately. What a bunch of *******.

I lost a good friend many years ago. He died while huffing some type of carpet cleaning solution....passed out and fell out of the chair he was sitting in onto the floor. The idiots with him thought that was hilarious and left him laying there.....he died.....as someone said earlier there is always someone looking to get high any way they can!!!!

I don't really see anything so different in this behavior compared to how its always been! I've known, and seen several people die from this sort of thing, I don't understand it, but it's always been a problem!! When I was young, kids would sniff gasoline, seen several kids I knew die from sniffing paint,
bactine, anything in an aerasol can.
I think it kind of boils down to the age old (It won't happen to me),
syndrome!! Best thing we can do is talk to our kids and try and make them grasp the dangers of such behavior!!
