A *real* tin magnet
Finally scored a pre-state disc, the only thing missing from my complete run of SD car plates. This is all that the state issued from 1905 through 1912. This one is 1909 I believe. Although the leather plate with affixed numbers became the most popular display, all the owner was required to do was prominently display the number and SD on the back of the car so technically it could have been anything. I have an original blank and numbers from the kit used by many states so I can make an authentic reproduction plate to match the disc for display. My whole run will eventuyally be displayed at the local courthouse, some of them are there now.
