Pulled the rear end out of a Ford Maverick... Here is what I got for $130 with tax and everything. They threw in the springs for free.

That a good price for what all you picked up.......but, how is the play in the axle bearings? Is there any a great amount of back-lash on the yoke?
Do the axles move in and out, or are they good and tight with no play?
For the price of the find, there usually is some ware that will need to be addressed before you mount it in place. Good luck........Maximo

The car we pulled it from was still absolutely complete and in great shape. I guess someone scrapped it cause the engine is blown, but the rest is in great shape. We have the original wheels and hubcaps too. The car didn't look like it had ever been wrecked, and we were the first to pull anything off of this car. I'm sure we will replace the bearings and stuff like that just because it's old, but no movement side to side and they roll just fine.

Those are getting somewhat hard to find, the pool is beginning to dry up. In a street rod I actually prefer the 8 inch over the 9. A little lighter, and parts are somewhat cheaper for them.

The one you picked up is nice and narrow too, I have the same one under my one Sons T bucket project.

You can't beat the price, plus you got to see the condition of the donor car, that means a lot.
