Got some bad news from a friend.

I got some bad news yesterday. A friend of mine that I've known for 35 years
called me and told me another friend of ours had Pancreatic Cancer. Then he told me, he had Lung Cancer. Man, talk about about a double punch to the stomach. I was kind of numb for awhile.

So everyone if you smoke quit, it will kill you. Make sure you have an annual check up and just take care of yourselves.

Very sorry to hear about the health problems of your friends. Those are two tough problems to beat. However, a friend of mine survived lung cancer last year and people are beating pancreatic cancer too. So there is hope.

That is sad news. So sorry to hear that Don! Cancer has hit extremely close to home for me twice. It took my Mom in 1990 and almost took my Dad last year.

I send my thoughts and prayers to you and your friends.

It still amazes me that people continue to smoke today with all that is known about it. It must be very addictive because I have heard people say they quit crack cocaine easier than smoking cigarettes.

I've been trying to track the tobacco settlement and tax money. Tobacco is huge revenue from taxes so pretty much none of the settlement money went to help smokers quit.
