The Green Grenade has been sold on ebay to a buyer in California.

I always like that rod. Would you buy a "known" hot rod? If so, would you "risk" changing it. Some of the posts I've read on another site, it would seem that it would raise the hackles of some. I, for one, believe that if you buy a car, it's yours to do with as you please.

I sold my Biscayne to my neighbor, who now comes out for coffee every Saturday. He is in the process of changing the car (billet) and will be a show piece soon. I get a lot of guys complaining that he is ruining the car. I tell them, "It's his car, he can do anything he wants".

Once you sell it, you have no say. And if you are afraid somebody will change it, don't sell it. I think, unless it has some very good historical background, why not make it your own.
There are few cars we look at and say I wouldn't have done it that way, or if I owned it I would put different wheels or something, about it.
I guess it comes down to why you are buying a car you didn't build. Cause you like it like it is, or because you want to change it.

I also seen that it has changed hands again. That car didnt last long in the hands of the second owner.I really like that car.It just has all that coolness factor. If it were mine I dont think I would go too crazy on it.Just finish some of the minors that it had when the original builder built it.It would deffinately get some paint. Then pinstriped and put the old Green Grenade back on it.

i haven't seen this car, got any pics? .........cue gastrick :p

i think if you buy a car it's yours, do what you want to it.

It has been in a bunch of books, one of the most covered mix traditional/ ratrod look builds in a while. It has been in Utah, Texas, and who nows where it will go now.

that is a sweet looking car. I have a new appreciation for louvers :p. I pictured one of those military theme rats in my head because of the name. It's definantly cool looking.

The Green Grenade happens to be one of my fav-o-rite cars so of course, I've got pics. But since 35Mastr already dropped a link, I'll just add one more.

Oh, and I think if you buy a car, it's your to modify as you please. In some instances though, I would hate to see a historically significant car changed.

I also second that.
