You too dmw! I'm doing the same. The 51 still needs a few old parts removed plus It's time to get those stubborn gauges out! Its almost a bare shell and about 150 lbs. lighter than it was when I started.

I'm painting the cement block walls of the back garage with waterproof paint. It's thick, heavy stuff. Takes two hands on the brush to force it in the pores. The last two spring thaws my garage has been like the move: "A River Runs Through It". In a few days a friend is coming over with a Bobcat and were going to push some dirt around to get the run off down the hill behind the garage to go around instead of through the garage.

I have 8 hours of OT planned, just like Saturday & Sunday. Kinda bummed about it but the OT goes in the Hot Rod fund.

I'm off, but Dan is working, so today is my day to clean the house and get ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Happy Labor Day to everyone. Hope some of our friends are ok with Gustov and the other Hurricane.

Happy Labor Day to all !! Am finishing up some small projects on momma's truck.

work, work, work. I tried to catch up a bit, didn't happen but didn't waste the day either. Building a hand rail for a half spiral stair case with lots of forge work. Very complicated, but a good challenge.

I got to work to day....my Labor of love Day Actually worked on the Studebaker for a while. Got the steering squared away and all mounted, got started on the wiring...got the fuse block mounted in the firewall and strung the wires in the general direction of where they go. We got the rear cross memeber reinforced and flipped around so we can use it to mount the shocks and use as the front mount on the gas tank. Would like to have worked on the floors a little more, but we ran the welder out of gas and my spare tank never got refilled (dumb a$$ that I am). Got new brake calibers, pads and hoses (along with the new tires and rims) on the front of the car and got the front down on the ground, so it's getting closer to firing it up and going on that maiden voyage. All in all it was a pretty good day
