Waste of money IMO. They shoulda just left it as they found it. Now, if they restore it, it'll be just another restored car but with a interesting story. It was a spectacle I would have wanted to see as it was, but cleaned up - eh...

I agree they should have left it as it was. It meant more that way. Should have just pressure washed it, made it run, air up the tires and send it on its way.

That tomb opening was the most disappointing one since Geraldo Rivera found that beer bottle in the one he opened on that TV show ! They should have known that concrete bunker would become a perfect swimming pool after all that time.

I agree, put it in a hermetically sealed glass case and display it as is.

I guess 1957 technology regarding vault building wasn't all that sophisticated. Today they probably would have a better shot at building one that was truly waterproof.

Think if I was them building the vault, I woulda dropped in a sump pump just to be sure
